Don’t the unions recognize a “collective bargain” when they see one? The opt outs and special preferences given to Obama’s supporters is enough to make me sick. Good thing I’ll have the monstrosity that is Obamacare to see to all my healthcare needs. Well , at least the ones they deem worthy of care. This whole situation is truly revolting. Or more precisely, worthy of revolting over.
As a trustee of the foundation board of a local non-profit community hospital, I can tell you that the Affordable Health Care Act may not be so affordable. The health care system that we enjoy at our community hospital must transition to the new models of health care that may not be sustainable over the long term. Our management and boards are devoting large amounts of time and money to these endeavors that could be used for other more immediate health care needs. I do not like the word hope but I am hoping that we can implement these incredibly complicated requirements without negatively impacting the quality of health care, especially as health care facilities in our area are closing. We want to pick up the slack and provide affordable quality care based on our own model that has succeeded in providing quality health care for decades. It is very all but impossible to visualize the difficulty in making these changes unless you directly involved in making them since more and more rules and requirements are added on an almost daily basis. We will give our best efforts to continue to be the best that we can be.
If you’re a union member don’t be fooled. The Hoffa JRs and the Richard Trumpkas knew this was coming. http://dirtyuglypolitics.wordpress.com/2013/01/31/union-leaders-sour-on-the-idea-of-obamacare/
