Is ‘illegal immigrant’ a slur?
Watch me on Fox News discuss the term ‘illegal immigrant’ with Eric Bolling:

Illegal immigrant, illegal immigrant, illegal immigrant. . . .
You just couldn’t make this stuff up. I submit that John Conyers is an “illegal democrat”: What 80 year old person could possibly be a liberal? I guess only a career politician or an academic who has never actually resided in the real world.
Michelle, yes, watching you on TV is offensive…. you are just another bimbo with stupid comments on Fox News…
“Illegals” sounds kind of nasty, “illegal immigrant” is accurate. The point, for me, is that illegal isn’t nearly as pejorative as it’s made out to be. There’s no line for lots of people, so why wouldn’t they break the law instead of letting their families suffer? Sometimes breaking the law is the right choice.
Any individual that violates the border of the United States of America is a criminal. They should be treated as such. Denoting them as “illegal immigrants” is accurate but I’m willing to simply refer to them as “felons” …
This is politically correct nonsense. I wonder if these same people awoke to find a stranger sleeping on their couch would they call them “out of status”? I imagine they’d accuse them of “illegally” gaining entry into their home.
How can you criticize democrats for qualifying a term to allegedly pander to latinos when Fox News Latino uses the term “undocumented immigrant” for that specific reason?
